It has been the US enthusiast that has helped us develop this tool. In the US and Canada, more than 2/3 of our customers are enthusiasts like you. Someone mentioned that the bulk of our customers are probably professionals. Still we give forum and email support to registered users for free. Tech support of those working on cars using our tool costs and yes, we now have to charge a fee for live vehicle specific phone support. People need to eat and house their families. We have people who do real research with tools we have developed such that we can know what the VAG engineers have done in the vehicles. Many think that Ross-Tech gets handed information by VAG. The research we do to get the information on all the models has to be done by data mining. We do have costs that are far higher than the costs of those that steal our work. We do not like to enter into these kinds of debates.
